Typically, i will open my books for two parts of the year (january to may and then june to december). That said, if you WANT to book outside of the current window, don’t hesitate to reach out so we can get acquainted and we can move forward with my official booking process once it falls within this booking window.
please NOTE — I reserve weekends for time with my family so I will typically schedule sessions Monday-Thursday. This is beneficial for any location that is crowded. exceptions will always be made for travel. For any special circumstance, please reach out and we can try to find a solution that works for both of us!

I’M A PROFESSIONAL FAMILY, BIRTH, AND NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER. I AM A MOTHER WITH ANXIETY WHO HAS EXPERIENCED INCREDIBLE JOY IN THIS JOURNEY CALLED MOTHERHOOD AND ALSO HIT ROCK BOTTOM MORE THAN ONCE. I AM INCREDIBLY PASSIONATE ABOUT WOMXN, THEIR RIGHTS AND EMPOWERMENT DURING LABOR, POSTPARTUM, AND BEYOND, AND TELLING THE STORIES OF FAMILIES OF ALL KINDS, SHAPES, AND SIZES.
WHEN I BECAME A MOTHER, I REALIZED THERE WAS A WHOLE PART OF LIFE, A WORLD’S WORTH OF STORIES TO BE TOLD - MOTHERHOOD AND THE JOURNEY INTO AND THROUGH IT - BUT ALSO WHO WE ARE OUTSIDE OF IT. THIS IS THEIR CHILDHOOD, YES, BUT IT IS ALSO YOUR MOTHERHOOD.
I TELL IT HOW IT IS - MAYBE A LITTLE TOO OFTEN. MY HEART FOR BEING HONEST AND REAL DOESN'T STOP WHEN I PUT DOWN THE CAMERA. IT RADIATES INTO ALL OF MY RELATIONSHIPS. I AM 100% EMPATH. I AM A CANCER, ENFJ, ENNEAGRAM 4 (HOWEVER YOU WANT TO LOOK AT IT) AND I LOVE TO FEEL. I BELIEVE IT'S MY GREATEST ASSET. I DRAW FROM EACH EXPERIENCE, EMBRACE EACH FEELING, AND WANT TO REFLECT THAT IN MY WORK.
I KNEW THAT THE TYPICAL, POSED PHOTOGRAPHY DIDN’T INSPIRE ME OR CONNECT ME WITH MY KIND OF PEOPLE AND I WANTED TO CAPTURE THE FEELINGS OF LIFE AND THE STORIES REAL PEOPLE HAD TO SHARE.
a bit about my approach...
I NEED TO YOU KNOW THAT THIS “JOB” OF MINE GOES FAR BEYOND TAKING PICTURES. I AM PRESENT. I INVEST IN THIS. I SHOW UP. I ONLY REQUIRE THAT YOU DO THE SAME. BY DOING THAT, TOGETHER WE CREATE A SPACE FOR YOU AND THE ONES YOU LOVE TO BE FULLY PRESENT IN A WAY WE RARELY HAVE TIME FOR ANYMORE. THERE IS A TANGIBLE EXPERIENCE WHEN LOVED ONES SLOW DOWN AND ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR LOVE FOR EACH OTHER AND THE IRREPLACEABLE MOMENTS THEY ARE CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING. IN DOING SO, I TAKE A STEP BACK AND LET LIFE HAPPEN. I AM ALWAYS LOOKING FOR THOSE IN-BETWEEN MOMENTS. I BRING VERY MINIMAL GEAR TO NOT DRAW ATTENTION TO MYSELF. BUT I KNOW WHAT IT’S LIKE TO BE IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA. I WILL GIVE YOU ENOUGH DIRECTION AND GUIDANCE TO FEEL COMFY BUT NOT SO MUCH THAT YOUR PHOTOS FEEL STIFF AND POSED. “DOCUMENTARY LIFESTYLE” IF YOU WILL.
how we make this happen...
I approach each session with intentionality, a calm demeanor, and lots and lots of prep. while I provide a unique experience to most family photographers, it actually doesn’t hinge on me. I come as myself, as I do with each and every family. the key to the photos turning out the way you’re hoping they will depends on your trust and participation. when you trust me, we make something magic. I will offer calm and gentle guidance and we will have an incredible time documenting memories. as a mother with young kids who don’t love to be photographed, i like to take a child-led approach. I won’t force a thing and will take the pressure off. After working with kids for this long, i promise this works best.

your on-locaton photo session in the bismarck/mandan area (up to 30 minutes of travel from my home office at 58501). choose home, outdoors, or another creative location.

Each session is entirely its own. your gallery will be completely unique to your family and the vision we discussed before your session.

your session is not booked until you have signed your contract and paid your nonrefundable retainer fee. You will receive a proposal with your invoice and contract within 24 hours of choosing your date.
full family session
This is my most commonly booked session. With an hour of shoot time, either at your home or on location, this allows us to tell a complete story. I suggest this session to families who want to use a location that is special to them, who want a specific family activity documented (such as making sunday breakfast), and/or want a. Session run time in one hour and you will receive 75+ images.

simple family session
For families who love the annual photos. We meet on location and get the details of what matters most - your connection to each other. Session run time is 30 minutes and you will receive up to 50 images. (This session can only be booked on location and cannot be used for an in-home session.)

newborn session
these sessions are meant to be slow-paced and intimate. we will move at the speed of your newborn and document everything that is magic about this time that moves much too fast. Session run time will vary by family but can range from 1-1.5 hours and you will receive 75+ images.

travel
Locations outside of bismarck/mandan, within North dakota, will include a mileage fee of $1/mile. Travel fees outside of north dakota begin at $500, in addition to your session. travel fees will vary depending on session type, location, and time of year.

I OFFER LIMITED MINI SESSIONS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR ON specific DAYS. I RELEASE THEM VIA MY E-MAIL LIST FIRST.
SESSION PRICES VARY BUT YOU CAN COUNT ON THEM BEING around $300-$400.
